Abstract

This article titled "Leadership of the Director-A Permanent Challenge at the School of Teachers of the Future in Benguela" aims to present a study on the leadership of the Director at this school. It is a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research in which we seek to explore what several authors have postulated about leadership and we also seek the perception of the teachers and the staff of the school on the subject, through a survey of teachers and interviews with those responsible for school.

To this end, we carried out bibliographic research and exploration of varied literature, dissertations, reports and other documents to which we have added our general knowledge. This allowed us to have a broader view on leadership, to seek similarities and differences between concepts, theories and paradigms of different authors. We also consulted works in which we did not extract any material, but they were an important source of inspiration to reflect better and create ideas to enrich this article. Our research has been developed on the basis of a concrete problem regarding the leadership of this school, which belongs to a specific follow-up of schools for the training of teachers. The data collected were statistically analyzed using the SPSS and Excel software, which generated graphs that express the teachers' thoughts through frequencies and percentages. In the discussion of the results we proceed to a qualitative interpretation of the same ones where we highlight the differences and similarities in the appreciation that the teachers made. In the conclusions we set out our ideas that express our judgment of value to evidence our deduction in relation to the ideas extracted from the analyzed data.
