The changing profile of social service users in turbulent times

Abstract

This research focuses its objectives in the change that has occurred as a result of the economic crisis, the profile of people users who come to the General Social Services.
On the one hand, as a result of social exclusion and poverty have increased basic social needs, the classic profile of people in social exclusion, as well as new profile of person in exclusion with specific problems. On the other, they have been dismantled many of the basic cares and institutional social resources, at times that are most essential, leading to a serious imbalance of the binomial needs, resources.
To investigate the circumstances described, we have performed a quantitative empirical work with a representative sample of demanding people users of Social Services of Marbella, in accordance with the provisions of the research objectives.
