Legal Protection of the Marine Environment in the Republic of Bulgaria: Current Problems

Abstract

This scientific study is dedicated to the legal protection of the marine environment in the Republic of Bulgaria. Its actuality is related to increasing degradation of this integral natural resource on a national, regional and global level. The attention is paid to legal measures for the protection of the marine environment according to special and general Bulgarian environmental legislation as well as to liability for its infringement. Finally some general conclusions and recommendations are given from the examined regulation.
