Abstract

In this paper the PPP (Precise Point Positioning) method was applied for designation the position of the aircraft in air navigation. The coordinates of the aircraft was estimated using Kalman filter operation in combined strategy for PPP method. The numerical computations were executed in RTKLIB software package in RTKPOST library in “PPP-Kinematic” module. The aircraft position was recovery based on two schemes: at first time the GLONASS data were applied in computations, whereas at second time the GPS/GLONASS data were utilized in calculations, respectively. In both solutions the GPS and GLONASS from onboard Topcon HiperPro receiver from Cessna 172 aircraft were used and tested. In paper the difference of coordinates of aircraft in geocentric XYZ frame from both solutions were designated and presented. The parameter of RMS bias for difference of aircraft coordinates equals to: 0.27 m along X axis, 0.09 m along Y axis, 0.22 m along Z axis, respectively. In addition, the RMS bias for difference of ellipsoidal height in geodetic BLh frame is about 0.28 m, respectively.
