About the Journal

RAPHISA, journal of Anthropology and Philosophy of the Sacrum is a journal edited by the research groups: HUM 394 of the University of Málaga, and HUM 925 of the University of Seville.  In its printed version it is published by Thémata publishing house in Seville (Spain).

It is a biannual journal of research, reflection and dialogue on culture, anthropology, philosophy and religion in the field of the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean and East Asia, aimed at the exchange between academics. It invites all scholars in these fields to submit original texts for review and publication.

RAPHISA publishes only original and unpublished articles; its official languages are Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German and English and it is structured in six sections - not all of which will be present in all issues:I. STUDIES; II. NOTES; III. BIBLIOGRAPHICAL REVIEWS; IV. REPORTS; V. TRANSLATIONS; VI. CREATION; VII. INTERVIEWS; VIII. OBITUARY.

The reception of articles is open all year round. Issues close on September 1st and April 1st.  Issues are published in June and December in order to comply with the indicated periodicity. If in an exceptional case, RAPHISA, delay the publication of the selected articles to a later issue, authors would be informed.

Announcements

Call for papers «Religión, Discriminación, Inclusión y Liberación en Corea»

We are pleased to announce that the next issue 7, number 2 (December 2023) will focus on the field of RELIGION, PHILOSOPHY AND THOUGHT IN KOREAN. It will be coordinated by Professor Antonio J. Domenech (University of Malaga) and Professor Eun Kyung Kang (University of Malaga).

 

This issue aims to explore from a multidisciplinary approach the relationship between religions, religious and philosophical thought, and the processes of discrimination, inclusion and liberation that have occurred in the Korean Peninsula throughout its history. Originally works which analyze and investigate from different perspectives and disciplines the social conditions, discourses, structures, social and religious movements, ideologies, religious and philosophical ideas, religious practices and historical events that have led to the development of mechanisms for individual and collective marginalization, as well as the emergence of movements aimed at liberation and social inclusion are welcomed.

 

In addition, the journal will also include other contributions that, outside the specified scope, are also related to the world of East Asia.
