As part of the objectives of the research entitled "Active System of Public Space in Andalusia: Transversal Landscape", the 22 tendered projects selected for the first call in 2013 of "the Friendly City" have been analyzed. Initiative that, starting from the Junta de Andalucía and directed to the City Councils and their technicians, intends that the proposed action projects focus on new intervention methodologies in public space with parameters of urban activation, sustainable mobility, user safety more fragile, energy efficiency, environmental quality and health, participation and social integration, identity, creativity. The study of the proposals at the documentary level and the field work at the sites (some projects are in the execution phase, one has been completed and most are pending the start of the works), provide the basic data to carry out an evaluation that determines the degree of compliance with the parameters proposed in the call, as well as its possible contribution to the definition of an exemplary, sustainable and socially more inclusive public space. As a result of this evaluation, a document -white book- has been generated that aims to become a guide to facilitate the design in accordance with the criteria demanded and a list of conditions for the selection of future projects.
