Abstract

The paper provides an insight of the state of the art on trip chaining accessibility when using public transport. A field study was carried out in Malaga, as a part of a broader research about trip experience for disabled and older users. Results show the existence of frequent and unusual barriers along the complete chain. Conclusions, based on references, illustrate how ICT solutions emerge as an opportunity for public transport accessibility improvement.
