About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Acta Botanica Malacitana is an international scientific journal of annual periodicity. Its purpose is the transmission of the results of original works related to any field of Botany and Mycology, especially those dedicated to systematics, chorology, ecology, applied botany, and Mediterranean area.
Peer Review Process
The Editorial Committee will evaluate, in the first instance, the topic, presentation and style of the manuscripts. Accepted manuscripts will be submitted to a scientific peer review.
Open Access Policy
This magazine provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps further global knowledge exchange.

Antiplagiarism
Acta Botanica Malacitana maintains an antiplagiarism policy by means of the professional application of the services of Crossref Similarity Check powered by Ithenticate, to check all the proposals, what ensures that all the works issued have not been previously published,
We use this service in all documents that have passed the editorial classification process and are subject to being sent to a peer review.
The journal reserves the decision to reject articles with an inappropriate percentage of similarity.
Digital Preservation Policies
All of our electronic content (website, manuscripts, etc.) is stored on several sources. Content on one server is online and accessible to the readers. The copy of the same content is kept as a backup on as the OJS software makes weekly copies through LOCKSS and CLOCKS archiving systems. DOIs of the articles also ensure the durability of access through Crossref. The content of the journal is also available in open access in different databases such as REBID and DIALNET, which guarantees the preservation of content by more than one database.
Author charges
Authors are not asked to pay Article Processing Charges (APCs) for this journal in any case.
