Desterritorializados y desfigurados: Interiores «queer» en la pintura de Joao Gabriel

Resumen

Resumen: El presente artículo pretende analizar la representación de los interiores domésticos en la obra pictórica de Joao Gabriel, centrándose en diferentes estrategias figurativas a la hora de plasmar una especial vivencia doméstica propia de identidades queer del pasado. Así, a partir de la evocación tangencial de una vivencia privada lábil y apresurada se rescata una domesticidad queer que ha sido anulada, a la vez que se ensayan posibilidades de representarla. Esto interesará además no solo para reparar esas vivencias, históricamente opacadas, sino también para imaginar otras posibles domesticidades LGTBIQ+ que escapen de los cauces del neoliberalismo y la homonormatividad a partir de las potencialidades intrínsecas del lenguaje, la materialidad pictórica y el poder creativo de la imagen.
