Mudejar Roof Carpentry in Malaga: Historical, Social and Documentary Approaches

Abstract

The present text aims to offer a brief approach to some aspects related to mudéjar roofing carpentry in Malaga. The subject, although already investigated by recognized researchers, is addressed from different points of view, especially its historical-artistic and technical character, the social context of its creators and the documents preserved from this period that have provided better knowledge and deeper understanding. Furthermore, additional information about singular examples in the province of Malaga have been highlighted.
