Enrique Mapelli Raggio, pintor de Málaga

Abstract

Enrique Mapelli Raggio was born in Málaga in 1881 and during his early life he developed an in tense activity as a painter, activity which he further on abandonned almost completely. He belonged to the Malaga's school of Art which was very lively at the XIXe century' last and the XXe century' beginning, and his work represents scenes, personages, customs and manners gathered in his paintings specially related to the Cartama land where at one time he used to spend long periods of holidays. Apart from numerous oil paintings he has also left very interesting note books and desings all of them always referred to Malaga.
