Dear colleagues and friends,

It is my great pleasure to share some excellent news with our community.

According to the recently released 2025 Journal Citation Reports (Web of Science), the European Journal of Family Business has achieved a Q3 ranking in both the Business and Management categories, with a Journal Impact Factor of 1.7. This places the journal 228th out of 323 journals in the Business category and 300th out of 426 journals in the Management category.

This achievement marks an important milestone in the journal's journey. It is not the result of the work of any one individual or team, but rather the outcome of a shared commitment to advancing knowledge in family business research.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our authors, who continue to place their trust in the journal and share their valuable research with us. My sincere thanks also go to our reviewers, whose rigorous evaluations, constructive feedback, and generous dedication of time are essential to maintaining the quality of the journal. I am equally grateful to our Associate Editors and Editorial Board members for their professionalism, expertise, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

I would also like to thank our readers, whose engagement with the research we publish helps to expand the reach and relevance of the knowledge we collectively create.

This new ranking is certainly a reason to celebrate, but it is also an encouragement to continue moving forward. We remain firmly committed to strengthening the journal's quality, increasing its international impact, and providing a trusted platform for meaningful research on family business.
