This paper recovers the project “Innovation of university teaching in Andalusia and blended teaching: diagnosis and experimentation” developed between 2006 and 2010, directed by Ángel Pérez Gómez. This project meant the design, development and evaluation of de Official Postgraduate Program, Master+Doctorate, “Policies and practices of educational innovation for knowledge society” in the International University of Andalusia. The opportunity to transform the doctoral program of the Department of Didactics and School Organization of the University of Málaga into a new Master’s degree within the framework of the EHEA, signified the development of an action-research process by almost all teachers in the Department. They experimented a curricular structure that intended to provoke significant and relevant learning and the development of educational innovation competences. This involved the design and development of a pedagogical context with activities and experiences radically different from those developed until then, as well as the learning of the corresponding teaching role. A process in which the pedagogical leadership of Ángel Pérez Gómez was essential. It is intended to synthesize what we learned from this project and the marks that left in our present university work.
