The Unity of Aristotle’s First Philosophy

The author briefly reviews the various authors who have questioned the unity of Aristotle’s first philosophy. Then, she defends that unity, organising it according to the senses of being. Aristotle wanted to know reality as it is. But reality is always dynamic. As a consequence, the thinking which tries to understand reality will also make progress and change. The criteria for this change are the various types of being and the degree of cognoscibility [the degree to which we may know] which each one allows and requires.
