El traductor al mando: la integración de la IA en la enseñanza de la traducción mediante la investigación basada en el diseño

Resumen

Si bien la relación traductor-máquina era ya una realidad, la potencia y el alcance de la IA en el tratamiento de textos han planteado a los docentes el reto de qué enseñar a nuestros estudiantes para un mercado laboral transformado. Lejos de sabotear las aportaciones de la IA, en este artículo se presenta una propuesta de integración de la IA que permite combinar la adquisición de las competencias traductora y en IA, sobre la base del imprescindible papel que el traductor mantiene como profesional. La metodología de la investigación basada en el diseño (IBD) ha permitido no solo reflexionar sobre el impacto de la IA en el proceso de traducción que se enseña, sino también presentar, tras varias iteraciones, las versiones finales de dos actividades que incluyen la IA con fines didácticos. Estos resultados pueden contribuir a arrojar luz sobre una enseñanza actualizada de la traducción.
