Abstract

University education must be oriented toward preparing students for their future professional careers, going beyond the mere acquisition of technical kenowledge, through a comprehensive, holistic approach to student development. This approach should foster critical thinking, autonomy and the develoment of practical skills that enable the effective practice of legal professions. In this context, current social changes require a rethinking of teaching methodologies. The emergence of Artifical Intelligence and the characteristics of Generation Z (wich currently populates our classrooms) are transformimg learning processes and the competencies required for the practice of legal professions. All of this highlights show us the urgent need to adapt teaching to new realities and professional demands, at a time when Spanish universties are undergoing significant changes and when it is necessary to reconsider what we understand by teaching innovation.
