El Verblador: Spanish Translation Proposal of the Poem “Jabberwocky” by Lewis Carroll, considering the Formal Aspects of Rhyme and Metrics

The ways in which Lewis Carroll's poem “Jabberwocky” has been translated, vary both in structure and content. In the case of a language that is culturally and morphologically different, and of the great temporal gap that exists since its publication, the nonsense words that the poem has, have been resolved and adapted in multiple ways, but all these translations agree that the formal aspects were not taken in mind at the time of its realization. This proposal created a translation that complies as closely as possible with the metric and rhyme system of the original poem, and also the techniques Carroll used to create the language games that make this poem one of the most prominent in the English language.
