Investigación traductológica en la traducción científica y técnica

La necesidad de responder a los retos que plantea la traducción científica y técnica implica una necesaria convergencia entre teoría y práctica. Para mostrar la utilidad de dicha convergencia, en este artículo, tras una breve introducción contextualizadora, se destacan los principales problemas a los que se enfrentan los traductores especializados en este ámbito y se analiza cómo han sido abordados por los investigadores. Se pone de manifiesto cómo estas aportaciones, cuyos enfoques han ido evolucionando a lo largo del tiempo, permiten: mejorar el conocimiento sobre los problemas indicados, explorar estrategias para abordarlos y crear herramientas y recursos de ayuda para el traductor científico y técnico.
