Abstract

Mercedes Moncada Rodríguez (Seville, 1972) is a Spanish filmmaker, screenwriter and producer who has made most of her features in Latin America. Cinematographic transnationality, in her case, is linked to her own life journey, which has led her since childhood to live in many countries. Her work has been developed mainly in Nicaragua, Mexico and Spain. In 2017, she took part at the Fifth Documentary Meeting of the Malaga Film Festival, during the round table “Hybrid Identities: Creating Beyond National Frameworks”. We go through her entry at the meeting, take a look to her filmography and ask her some questions related to her work and her transnational experience.
