Art, Architecture and Visual Culture. Call For Papers [nº5]
Abstract
The editorial team of Umática -Revista para el análisis de la imagen y la creación- and the research group Políticas de la imagen audiovisual y su entorno tecnológico en la práctica artística (VIDEO-POLICY) of the University of Málaga invite researchers and creators to review the theoretical, methodological and practical factors associated with artistic and architectural practices from their specific viewpoints. They will address questions about the present of exhibition, architectural and urban spaces, as well as their social, historical and perceptual implications. Over the last few decades, individual and collective work schemes have faced challenges such as specific artistic performance in institutional buildings, the symbolic reassignment of spaces, the videographic recording of ephemeral actions and interventions in them, as well as the adaptation of artistic proposals to architectural spaces and vice versa, all with the aim of articulating spaces of collective identification and coexistence…
