The reality is simple

Among the vast array of public demonstrations that emerged in the wake of the social uprising of October 2019, many relied on the written word as their primary medium, through graffiti, wall art, light projections, and phrases disseminated on social media. Subsequently, numerous critical analyses and compilations of these expressions arose, as well as compilations of what could be called their flip side, such as the controversial statements made by politicians in the days leading up to the outbreak. Within this verbose landscape, I would like to discuss the creative process behind my book, La realidad es simple (2020), which comprises a selection of statements made in the Emol forum in response to news of the political situation during the first weeks following the uprising. I will draw comparisons with other similar models, like Diarios del odio by Roberto Jacoby and Syd Krochmalny specifically addressing editorial choices and distribution formats.
