Abstract

Clay Man is an artistic project born from the desire to explore my family's roots and connect our past with the present. At it's core is the story of my dad, Naim, who was forced to exile from Jenin, Palestine, leaving behind his land and family. Through family photographs intervened by my parents by texts and drawings, I construct a visual file full of memories and emotions. This project is a bridge between the intimate and the universal, and a way of understanding how the exile has shaped our identity.
