The woman who has been the victim of a sexual assault must have personalized attention with a holistic approach, that is, comprehensive and integrated that takes into account the specific needs of women in a situation of special vulnerability.
Social Health Work must be present at this time, in order to minimize derived consequences, offer women the necessary emotional support, help them adapt to the new reality, as well as make known the existing resources from which they can benefit based on their characteristics. specific.
It is important that health professionals and those in other fields are aware of the relevance of the intervention of the social health worker, in order to refer the user appropriately and to initiate a study, assessment, intervention and follow-up of the woman to improve their personal and social conditions.
