The present article aims to analyze, from a theoretical and empirical point of view, the general situation of refugees, on an international and national level and, especially, in a Refugee Welcome Center (RWC) located in Mislata (Valencia). For this purpose, 106 surveys completed between 2016 and 2018 have been analyzed to determine their degree of satisfaction with the resource and with the help provided by their intercultural mediators.
The ultimate goal is to get to know the armed conflicts of recent decades, their consequences in relation to the number of dead and displaced persons, the characteristics of the refugee camps, the impact that these conflicts together with the climate change have in the rest of the countries, as well as to assess the role played by intercultural mediators in their relocation in the RWC as well as if the attention given to them is satisfactory.
As a general conclusion, it can be said that the results obtained in the present study seem encouraging as the services and personalized attention offered by the RWC largely meet the expectations of refugees, and the more significant is that each year they are better valued.
