The work describes the common features of the participatory budgeting in Spain. Thanks to this resource, social work has the possibility to encourage community-based social work and support local associations, social cohesion and, social cohesion and citizen empowerment. Finally, it exhibits the evolution of participatory budgeting in Palma into a model that promotes the associations.
