Abstract

The present article addresses the model based on the comprehensive care focused on the person (ACP) and the good practices that, day by day, are implemented in a resource of the city of Valencia (CAM Xiquets) in charge of taking care of ten children and adolescents with support needs.

CAM Xiquets management model focuses on communication among all parties that affect children and adolescents: institutions, the family, the school, health centers, hospitals and volunteers, etc., and the center itself and its educators. Furthermore, it also has four fundamental pillars which are: communication skills, behavioral management, cognitive stimulation / development, educational support and individualized programming for each child and adolescent.
