ABTRACT
The question concerning physis is an identifying feature of Greek thoyght, particularly of pre-Socratic thoyght. In spite of the fact that they have several points in common, we can not forget the differences among them. With respect to physis, Parmenides creates a censure between the philosophers before him and the philosophers after him. If, as its original meaning suggests, the concept of physis is essentially linked to generation, then its status among Parmenides and his followers becomes problematic. For this reason, it is useful to analyze some of the implications of physis among the lonian philisophers.
