ABSTRACT
Based upon different literary works, the author employs both Pessoa´s idea of "heteronimous" and Borges´s idea of the multiple-self in order to think of the problems of identity. That way indentity is shown as being in itself capable, at the same tiem, of being in place of the other Identitu´s epistemological clues are dealt with in two directions: being nobody to be anybody and being other to be someone.
