El liberalismo político y la educación de los ciudadanos en una sociedad pluralista. Acerca de la autonomía y la tolerancia

RESUMEN
Este trabajo pretende examinar la distinción entre liberalismo político y liberalismo comprehensivo trazada por John Rawls. Esta división tiene una indudable relevancia para el liberalismo contemporáneo porque trata de dar respuesta a los neuvos retos que supone el pluralismo en una sociada democrática y plantea una revisión significativa de las relaciones entre los principios de autonomía y tolerancia. nuestro propósito es abordar esta cuestión con relación a las consecuencias normativas que la distinción entre liberalismo político y liberalismo comprehensitvo tiene para la educación cívica.

ABSTRACT
This paper examines John Rawls' distinction between political liberalism and comprehensive liberalism. This distinction has an inquestionable relevance for contemporary liberalism, since it addresses the new challenges of pluralism in a democratic society and, likewise, advances a significant revision of the relations beween the principles of autonoy and tolerance. my aim is to address this isue in view o the normative consequences that the distinction of ploitical and comprehensive liberalism entails for civic education.
