In order to ensure double-blind peer review, authors must omit their names and affiliations from the manuscript. No self-references or citations should reveal the identity of the author(s). References to the author’s own work should be indicated as “Author 1” and the corresponding year (e.g., Author 1, 2016). Full citations will be added upon acceptance of the manuscript.

  2. Authorship Criteria
Once accepted, authors must provide the order of authorship and the specific contributions of each author (if applicable). This journal follows the authorship criteria recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). An author is defined as someone who has made a substantial intellectual contribution to the manuscript, specifically:

  • Participated in the conception or design of the work, or in data collection, analysis, or interpretation.

  • Participated in drafting or revising the manuscript critically.

  • Approved the final version to be published.

Anyone who does not meet these three criteria should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section only. To prevent disputes or misattributions of authorship, contributors are encouraged to agree upon authorship order and contributions prior to submission. To specify contributions, the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT) is recommended. Accepted practices for ordering authors include:

  • First-last-author-emphasis (FLAE): first and last authors contributed most; order in between indicates descending contributions.

  • Sequence-determines-credit (SDC): order reflects the magnitude of contribution.

  • Equal contribution (EC): alphabetical order is used when contributions are comparable or to avoid conflict in collaborative groups.

Anonymous publications will not be accepted. Once the manuscript is accepted, the author must add the following information: institutional affiliation, position, email address, current research lines, and references to a selection of their most relevant recent publications.

  1. Funding Acknowledgement
Upon acceptance, authors must disclose any financial support received for the research, including the names of the funding agencies and project codes. This information should also be included in the journal's metadata.

  2. Use of Generative AI
The use of generative AI for content creation—including the abstract and references—is not permitted. If the topic of the article requires reference to a text generated by AI, this must be explicitly stated. Generative AI may be used only to enhance language and improve the readability of content already written by the author. Authors remain fully responsible for the originality of their work.

B) Style and Formatting Guidelines

  1. Titles and Abstracts
The first page of the manuscript must include the article’s title (and its English translation), along with an abstract in both Spanish and English (150–200 words each), followed by 5–7 keywords in both languages.

  2. Quotations
Journal and book titles should appear in italics, while article and book chapter titles should be enclosed in quotation marks. Short quotations should be integrated into the text using double quotation marks (“ ”). Nested quotations should use single quotation marks (‘ ’) within double quotation marks.

Quotations longer than three lines should be formatted as block quotes: separated from the main text, without quotation marks or italics, indented 1 cm from the left margin, in smaller font size, and single-spaced. Omissions within quotations must be indicated using square brackets: […].

  1. Dashes and Hyphens
Hyphens (-) should be used for compound terms and page ranges (e.g., 245–247). Em dashes (—) may be used as parenthetical marks—with a space before but not after. If the parenthetical ends with a period, the dash should not be closed.

  2. Footnotes
Footnotes should be used rather than endnotes. Note indicators should follow punctuation marks in the main text. Footnotes must be formatted in single spacing and font size 10.

  3. References

Follow APA style. Citations should appear in parentheses and include only the author’s surname, year of publication, and relevant page numbers, as full details will be listed in the final bibliography. Example: (Arendt, 1958: 26–28).
For works with more than two authors, use the first surname followed by et al. in the in-text citation, but list all authors in full in the bibliography. Example: (Deleuze et al., 2020).
Use a dash for consecutive page numbers and commas for non-consecutive ones. Example: (Zambrano, 1996: 7–8).
When citing volumes, use Roman numerals followed by a colon. Example: (Gadamer, 1998: II, 193).

The final section of the manuscript must be titled References and list all works cited, in alphabetical order, following APA style.
