Efecto del contenido estereotípico sobre la ira, el desprecio y sus patrones conductuales: un estudio de réplica en población española

Resumen

El presente trabajo investigó la percepción estereotípica de grupos de otro planeta, explorando sus correlatos emocionales y conductuales. Adaptando el paradigma de un planeta lejano de Hoffman y Hurst (1990) y replicando el Estudio 1 de Ufkes et al. (2011), nuestro objetivo principal fue examinar si la percepción de otros seres influía en las emociones y comportamientos de las personas participantes. En este estudio, (n= 181 participantes de población española), los resultados mostraron que la percepción de una menor competencia se relacionaba con mayor desprecio. A su vez, la percepción de menor calidez se relacionaba con mayor ira y, en consecuencia, los participantes mostraban mayor intención de confrontación ante un conflicto.
