Primero desde el punto de vista evolutivo, del desarrollo psicológico individual, más tarde también desde un enfoque social, interdisciplinar (La Europa de las lenguas, Alianza Editorial, Madrid, 1996), Miquel Siguán ha sido un atento observador y analista del lenguaje humano. Con ocasión de una conferencia suya sobre los primeros momentos del lenguaje infantil, en la Facultad de Psicología de Málaga, en abril de 1997, la profesora Almudena Giménez de la Peña le ha abordado, en breve entrevista relámpago que se transcribe aquí.
