ARE WE STILL INTERESTED IN PICASSO? REVIEWS, PERSPECTIVES AND PROJECTIONS - CALL FOR MONOGRAPHIC NUMBER – SEPTEMBER 2023 -

2023-02-22

Eviterna joins the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the death of Pablo Ruiz Picasso with the publication, in September 2023, of a monographic issue that aims to reflect the significant mark left by this artist in contemporary culture and creation. For this, there will be the coordination of two outstanding doctors: Salvador Haro González, professor of Fine Arts (UMA); and Carlos Ferrer Barrera, from the Documentation Center of the Museo Casa Natal Picasso.

Therefore, starting today, we call on the entire scientific community to submit proposals that, following the specific rules of the journal, develop issues related to the following research paths:

Picasso in art and in today's society. Influences, reactions and echoes.
Theory and philosophy of post-Picasso art. Object, concept and derivations
Picasso: yesterday, today and forever; from artist to myth
Picasso in public opinion: versions, revisions and misrepresentations.
Picasso, the Picassian and Picassization. Artistic creation, marketing and commercialization.

Originals for this monograph may be sent from April 1, 2023, and until June 15, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. (Spanish time). All submissions must be made through the OJS platform, taking as reference the editorial regulations as well as the adaptation to the magazine's template.
