Abstract

The professor of the National University of Distance Education (UNED) Laura Méndez Zaballos presents the text that we comment on the "Practicum of Psychology. The training of professionals in non-face-to-face teaching" whose objective is to offer a practical guide for the subject "External practices" of the Degree in Psychology of your university.

Taking into account that the practicum is the moment of learning in which the students materialize the knowledge acquired during the academic training, it is necessary a plan that guides the realization of that formative period. With this work, this objective is fulfilled because throughout its ten chapters it is drawing up an action plan, beneficial for the teachers in charge of the subject and for the students who study the aforementioned curriculum.

The book, as we say, consists of ten chapters in which, first, it justifies the need for this volume as an aid for the realization of the subject and then develops the work plan.

The way in which Dr. Méndez Zaballos proposes how to train a professional is part of the definition of competence, from the first approaches of the eighties to the competences proposed from the University of Deusto as instrumental, interpersonal and systemic.
