Abstract

The publication “Francoist Repression, Anti-Francoist Resistance, and Women’s Democratic Historical Memory,” authored by Beatriz García Prieto, Desirée Rodríguez, and Enrique Javier Díez Gutiérrez, is the third installment in a trilogy on historical memory, published by Plaza y Valdés Editores. This volume focuses on the repressive methods applied to women during the Francoist dictatorship and their often-overlooked role in the anti-Francoist resistance and democratic activism, which continued during the transition to democracy.
