Abstract

This article presents preliminary findings resulting from research on pre-professional practice carried out in two educational institutions in Uruguay. The objective of the study focuses on the needs and difficulties that accompanying teachers present in the processes of teaching practice and that impact or affect the guidance and accompaniment of the development of the same. The detection of these needs within the institutions made it possible to visualize and understand these problems in the real context where they are produced. This is a qualitative inquiry and the data collection technique used is the semi-structured interview. The data obtained make it possible to evaluate the real needs of teachers and to contrast them with the institutional requirements of teacher training in the country. Based on the contributions arising from the data and their subsequent analysis, a diagnosis of the educational reality was made, which makes it possible to give continuity to the inquiry.
