Abstract

In this paper, the author analyzes the concept of the common good from the four Aristotelian causes (material, formal, efficient and final) in order to know the implications of this concept in a society, especially in a State. At first, the author analyzes which are the elements that constitutes the common good; second, what is the essence of the common good; third, who and how generates the common good; and finally, what is the purpose of the common good.
