Incidencia de algunos determinantes sociodemográficos y el carácter de ser empresa familiar en las competencias digitales de los gestores de microempresas y PYMES

Resumen

El objetivo de la investigación es analizar el efecto que tienen los determinantes sociodemográficos de edad del gestor, nivel educativo, antigüedad en el puesto, así como ser o no una empresa del tipo familiar, respecto a las competencias digitales de los gestores de microempresas y pymes. Para este propósito, se aplica el modelo de regresión logística ordinal a una muestra no probabilística de 153 cuestionarios aplicados a gestores del sector comercio y servicios en Xalapa, México. Los resultados estadísticos muestran que los gestores más jóvenes tienden a desarrollar competencias digitales más avanzadas, mientras que los de mayor edad tienden a un menor desempeño. La experiencia en el puesto influye en el dominio digital, ya que los gestores con trayectoria moderada suelen alcanzar los niveles más altos, mientras que los que tienen antigüedad prolongada tienden a presentar menores niveles de competencias digitales. En cuanto al nivel educativo, los estudios de posgrado favorecen el desarrollo de competencias digitales, aunque en las empresas familiares la experiencia y el aprendizaje organizacional también juegan un papel clave.  Estos hallazgos contribuyen al cuerpo teórico de las capacidades dinámicas e implican que las estrategias de formación y desarrollo en competencias digitales deben ser diferenciadas y no homogéneas.
