Letter from the Editor
In this issue we would like to announce that in order to increase the visibility of our journal we are going to include all the articles of the last two years in the HTML version translated into English.
In addition, from 1 April 2022, accepted articles will be required to be translated into English.
We believe that this strategy will enable authors to significantly increase the number of citations of their articles, because although the Revista Iberoamericana de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte promotes the Spanish language, we are also aware that English is the main international language of science.
We are convinced that future authors will assume this small effort from which we can all receive an enormous reward and for this we thank them in advance.
On the other hand, we would like these words to be a tribute to the man who, from the beginning, encouraged this journal to be an echo of Sports Science in Spanish.
Recently our Associate Editor Dr. José Ramón Alvero Cruz, with whom we have worked so hard and shared so much in national and international projects, with whom some of us learned to write and do good science and above all to be generous with those who accompany us in this wonderful profession, has left us (D.E.P.).
