Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

• The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
• The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
• Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
• The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
• The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
• Ethics and Best Practices • AI cannot be listed as an author. • Authors must declare the use of AI, and this must appear in the published PDF, detailing the model, its purpose, and the date. • It is not necessary to declare the use of AI solely for text correction (readability or grammar improvement), provided the human author is responsible for the final content. • Reviewers cannot use AI in the evaluation of manuscripts (to protect intellectual property rights). • The inclusion of AI-generated images in publications is not permitted. We allow some leeway on this point for popular science or fine arts journals. If AI is permitted, it must still be stated that the purpose of its use, the model, and the date must be declared.
