Principales antecedentes en la consideración del trabajo en la literatura económica: teorías sobre el mercado de trabajo y el desempleo

Abstract

This article presents the main background in the economic literature related to unemployment. We review the theoretical interpretations on the functioning of the labour market and the causes of unemployment, focusing on the Theory of Job Search, for which we analyse the main contributions. To achieve this aim we have considered all the different approaches and their evolution in time.
