The 2019 publication by José Luis Monereo Pérez of Otto Kahn-Freund's work brings back to light one of the most influential authors in Labor Law. Kahn-Freund is considered a fundamental figure in this discipline, and his work has had several editions, including one revised by Paul Davies and translated into Spanish by Jesús María Galiana Moreno, Professor of Labor Law and Social Security, who passed away in 2018. Galiana was also a member of the International Society for Labour Law and Social Security and was known for his contribution to the dissemination of the work *Labor and the Law* and for his participation in various scholarly publications.
The text also highlights the intellectual importance of José Luis Monereo, whose editorial work has allowed for the recovery of numerous classics in the social and political sciences. Among his works, the reissue of Gustave Le Bon's *The Psychology of Crowds* stands out, accompanied by a preliminary study entitled *The Age of the Masses*, where he analyzes the sociopolitical thought of this author and its historical context. Monereo has also promoted the publication of other relevant, even controversial, thinkers such as Carl Schmitt, contributing to contemporary academic debate.
The text also incorporates reflections from the Polish philosopher Witold Gombrowicz, who analyzes the ideas of thinkers such as Descartes, Husserl, and Kant, highlighting the importance of doubt, the relationship between subject and object, and the role of reason in the organization of knowledge.
Finally, the text underscores the importance of broadening the scope of the History of Labor Relations by integrating social, historical, and legal perspectives, and recognizing the contributions of diverse authors and schools of thought to the development of this discipline.
