The journal Contrapuntos en Educación, in its issue 2 (volume 1), titled “The Serene Revolution: Challenges of Education for a Culture of Peace,” brings together researchers in the field of education who, through their studies, address and reflect on some of the current challenges and possibilities for transforming education into a tool that contributes to the construction of a culture of peace. This concern arises from a global context marked by wars, genocides, forced displacement, political polarization, climate emergency, discrimination and structural and systemic violence, hate speech, social and educational exclusion, as well as armed conflicts in various parts of the world.
