Abstract

In this paper the concepts of sin and redemption will be reviewed, contrasting them not only with Dostoevsky's work, but also with some milestones in his biography. In this way, we will try to demonstrate that there is a close autobiographical correlation between the author and his texts; this being probably one of the main reasons why, two hundred years after his birth, he still continues to amaze new readers of the 21st century.
