Abstract

This article includes an obituary dedicated to Paul Berg, the father of recombinant DNA technology, and a remembrance of the 70th anniversary of the publication of the first papers describing the molecular structure of DNA.

Miguel Ángel Medina, Universidad de Málaga

Licenciado (1985) y Doctor (1989) en Ciencias Biológicas y Licenciado en Historia del Arte (2010). Catedrático de Bioquímica y Biología Molecular (2009), en la actualidad es Director del Departamento de Biología Molecular y Bioquímica de la Universidad de Málaga.
