Abstract

The sky is the most common and ancestral cultural landscape of all civilizations in the world and the fact that we all share concerns related to the origin and destiny of the universe is actually the true Heritage of Humanity. Since the discovery of electric artificial light in 1879 by Thomas Edison to the present day, luminaire and lamp technology has experienced enormous progress, adapting to all the needs of the environment and human beings, representing an exponential leap in development and well-being of society. Its abusive and in many cases uncontrolled use has turned an element of progress into a threat to preserving the natural cycles of living beings.
