Abstract

Every year on September 21, World Alzheimer’s Day is celebrated, the most common cause of neurodegenerative dementia in people over 65 years old. Alzheimer’s produces a progressive and total deterioration of cognitive functions (memory loss, language alteration, loss of sense of orientation, and executive functions), often accompanied by changes in personality and behavior, and which leads to a dramatic reduction in the individual’s ability to carry out daily life activities
