Abstract

Every day we receive through the media an avalanche of information about the need to include in our diet the so-called healthy foods. Among these are products such as yogurts and other dairy products that incorporate the so-called probiotics, which are microorganisms that can provide a beneficial effect on the immune system (see Encounters in Biology 71, 2001).
