Abstract

Sons of Poseidon and Aphrodite, a race of untamed and wild shepherds who lived on the island of Trinacria (probably Sicily), and led by Polyphemus, who was blinded by Ulysses. This is how Homer describes the Cyclopes in the Odyssey, giants of Herculean strength with only one eye.
