Abstract

The flowering process is influenced by environmental signals, particularly light, and specifically, the photoperiod. In some plants, flowering occurs (or is accelerated) when the day length decreases below a certain threshold (known as short-day plants), while in others, it happens when the day length exceeds a specific value (referred to as long-day plants)
